ERIC BUNNING

Eric Bunning’s professional background includes experience in both the private and public sectors, including key political experiences working both on political campaigns and on Capitol Hill. He began his career serving as a Field Director for The Middle Resolution, a Super PAC based in Richmond, Virginia. There he led grassroots outreach and engagement, including an extensive and successful get-out-the-vote effort in Virginia.

Following his campaign work, Bunning was hired as part of Congressman Andy Barr’s (KY-06) initial D.C. office staff in 2013. There Bunning led several programs and initiatives within the office, in addition to managing a legislative portfolio. His policy experience spans a diverse issue set of primarily domestic policies, including expertise in several unique policy areas such as equine policy, alcohol policy, and financial services policy.

Following his service on Capitol Hill, Bunning was hired as Director of Federal Affairs for the National Beer Wholesalers Association, a renowned national trade association based in Alexandria, Virginia. There Bunning continued his work building relationships on Capitol Hill, advancing the association’s legislative priorities, and deepening his knowledge of issues facing Main Street businesses.

Bunning returned to his home state of Kentucky in 2022 and quickly thereafter started his own political consulting firm, EB Consulting.  Bunning developed a book of business, managed contracts encompassing several different legislatures, and leveraged relationships to bring value to his clients. 

Eric is the grandson of former U.S. Senator and Baseball Hall-of-Famer Jim Bunning (R- KY) and became interested and familiar with campaigns and politics at a very young age. His knowledge of business, politics, and policy will certainly serve Ingram Group clients well.

Bunning is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He resides in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife Katelyn, and his two children Alice and James.
