TOM INGRAM

Tom Ingram, founder and Chairman of The Ingram Group, returned to the team in 2009 after serving a seven-year stint as Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander. Tom has been at the epicenter of politics and government - both in Tennessee and Washington - for more than three decades, and is nationally recognized for his expertise in crisis management and strategic thinking. While working in the Senate, he concurrently served as Alexander's Chief and Staff Director for the U.S. Senate Republican Conference. The Hill named Ingram one of the top movers and shakers on Capitol Hill; Roll Call cited his talent for "spin, know-how and access" and Politico claimed that he had reached "the inner circle of the Republican leadership."

While in the Senate, Ingram also founded the Senate Bipartisan Chiefs of Staff organization that survives to this day with more than 60 of the Senate's 100 chiefs of staff participating on a regular basis.

Prior to his service on the Hill, Ingram landed several times in the private sector - first as founder and President of The Ingram Group, later as Director at Whittle Communications and as CEO of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership. Ingram, a former newspaper reporter, has also overseen winning political campaigns for Alexander (Tennessee Governor's race, 1978 and 1982; U.S. Senate race, 2002, 2008, and 2014). Senator Bob Corker (U.S. Senate race 2006 and 2012). and Governor Bill Haslam (Tennessee Governor's race, 2010 and 2014). among many others.

Tom and his wife, Cindy, enjoy spending time in Knoxville, Nashville, Washington, DC and Kiawah SC. He is a proud father grandfather of two.
