Leah Dupree Love

Leah has an extensive government portfolio spanning legislative and executive branches. She began her career in Tennessee Governor Phil Bredeson’s Administration as a legislative intern with the Department of Human Services. After graduating law school in Indiana, she returned to Nashville.  

In 2011, she served for one legislative session as a Tennessee Senate Clerk before working as a legislative aide to former State Senator Doug Overbey. She then transitioned to Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam’s Administration where she served as Legislative Liaison for the Department of General Services.

Prior to returning to Tennessee, she was a law clerk in the Consumer Protection Division of the Indiana Attorney General Office and an Academic Certification Case Evaluator for the NCAA.

Before joining The Ingram Group, she led Tennessee State University’s Government Relations team. There, she assisted the president, the general counsel, and university leadership with communication to state and local government officials regarding legislative, policy, and program issues facing the institution. Additionally, Leah was the owner of Dupree Consulting Group where she assisted clients with business formation and succession, and various other legal matters.

Leah’s civic and community involvement includes Audit Committee Chair for the Tennessee Credit Union, Commissioner for the Metro Nashville Arts Commission, and The Hendersonville Area Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

Leah received her Bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University; a Masters in Business Administration from Valparaiso University, and a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Leah is a member of Lee Chapel AME Church where her husband, State Representative Harold M. Love, Jr., is the pastor. The couple resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
