Brandi Lowell has unique legislative and executive branch, overseas, and private sector experience. Brandi began her career on Capitol Hill serving the Tennessee delegation’s U.S. Representatives Bob Clement and Lincoln Davis as well as Tennessee’s adopted son, former Representative Heath Shuler (D-NC). After a decade of Hill experience, Brandi served in every capacity from intern to Chief of Staff for Members of Congress from the nation’s most competitive swing districts. Brandi has worked closely with House leadership and has staffed the House Committees on Appropriations, Financial Services, Budget Committee, and Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I).

Her extensive policy knowledge, keen political instincts, and work ethic made her a trusted resource on Capitol Hill among Members and staff.

In the Executive Branch, Brandi served the U.S. Embassy Mexico City as the Narcotics Affairs Section’s (NAS) public affairs officer. There she constructed and implemented the Embassy’s communications strategy for the $1.5 billion dollar Mérida Initiative, served on the Ambassador’s Narcotics Affairs Policy Team, prepared briefs directly for Mexican President Calderon and his administration, and authored content for congressional testimony by senior U.S. Department of State officials. Brandi was awarded the U.S. Department of State’s Meritorious Honor Award for outstanding performance.

In the private sector, Brandi served as Director, Federal Governmental Affairs, for Duke Energy Corporation, a Fortune 125 company. There she managed a nearly $2 million PAC budget, briefed company executives and the CEO on federal policy matters of interest to the company, and managed strategic association and consultant relationships on behalf of the company.
