SARAH ROBINSON CHIN

Sarah Robinson Chin is a strategy and finance leader with deep experience helping complex organizations translate ambitious goals into executable, financially sustainable plans. As a member of The Ingram Group, she advises executives and organizations on strategy, financial planning, resource allocation, organizational effectiveness, performance management, and large-scale change. Her work focuses particularly on helping leaders understand how financial, human, and organizational resources can be deployed differently to improve performance and achieve strategic priorities.

Before joining The Ingram Group, Sarah served as Chief Strategy Officer for Metro Nashville Public Schools, a large public-sector enterprise with an annual operating budget exceeding $1 billion and approximately 10,000 employees. She led enterprise strategy and worked across finance, operations, talent, technology, academics, and external partnerships to align organizational priorities, investments, and execution. Previously, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Indianapolis Public Schools, supporting executive leadership on strategy, budgeting, operations, and major transformation initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Sarah spent several years with Education Resource Strategies, a national nonprofit consulting firm specializing in strategic resource use in public school systems. There, she advised some of the country’s largest school districts on how to better align people, time, and money with organizational priorities and improved outcomes. She began her career as a Teach For America corps member, an experience that continues to inform her focus on the practical realities of implementing strategy at the front line.

Across her career, Sarah has developed additional expertise in higher education, research use, and building partnerships among practitioners, researchers, government, and philanthropy. She serves on the board of the Annenberg Institute’s EdResearch for Action, which works to make rigorous education research more accessible and actionable for decision-makers.

A proud Hoosier, Sarah completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University. She holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Oxford in England and a master’s degree in education from Christian Brothers University.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two senior dogs. She is an avid reader, gardener, and outdoorswoman with a particular love for America’s national parks.
